Andrew Brushfield

Biography

A rangy defender with superior overhead skills, Andrew Brushfield was the mainstay of the back six for a number of years. His long, accurate kicking provided many a springboard for Xaverian offenses. He played 141 games in the Red 'n' Black, and was a senior premiership player in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2003 and won a Reserves flag in 1995. Post-retirement, Brushfield has served on several occasions as a senior Assistant Coach, including the 2009-10 premiers under Simon Lethlean. He represented the Big V in 1996 and 1999.
