All three U19 teams acquitted themselves well, but only two of them landed the points.

Dante's Inferno

Rushy's Rookies remained unbeaten and top of the ladder when they disposed of St Bernard's by 48 points.

Dante Visentini turned it on for the West Essendon crowd, nailing six goals in a BOG performance.

Coach Rush commented:

It was a pleasing four quarter effort against a very competitive St Bernard's team. The first half was an arm wrestle, with Xavs making the most of opportunities and kicking well inside 50 to Visenitini. The third quarter was all Old Xavs. We added 6.2 to 1.0, breaking the game open. The last quarter was still a struggle but Xavs closed it out for a solid win.

Tom Dunne in defence took many intercept marks and rebounded strongly all day. Big Dante Visentini was the dominant forward on the field, offering an alternative target to the reliable Harrison Bell.

First gamers, Sam Asdagi and Julian Gangi where prolific in the middle and gave us tons of drive.

Next week, a date with Old Scotch.

THREEs

Dom's Dynamos came back from a 17 point deficit at the first change to beat Williamstown CYMS on their own patch. Taking the lead by half-time and then surrendering it briefly in the third term, the Red 'n' Blacks rolled home in the final term, booting five goals to three to steal the points.

Coach Dom Guiney commented:

We got off to a slow start in one of our toughest challenges yet. Down on rotations, the boys rallied with scores almost level going into the last. Through gutsy efforts across the board, the team held on by 13 points. George Torney and Josh "Chilli Con" Karn proved to be a dangerous tandem, kicking eight goals between them, while strong efforts through John Kearns and Josh "Jo Jo Zep" Camilleri in the midfield were damaging. It must also be noted that Josh "Admiral" Nelson was pivotal in swinging momentum down back late in the game.

Next week, the four and one Brunswick North Old Boys St Patrick's College come to Stradbroke.

Goal Kickers: G. Torney 4, J. Karn 4, L. Burke 3, N. Gorman 2
