A rough and tumble first term, when players seemed distracted from playing the game, and then a silky final three quarters where the Xavs displayed some polish saw the competition leaders waltz away from SKOB in perfect conditions.

There were some impressive performances from veterans Louis Denton and Jonny Pintal, while the continued good form of youngsters Tommy Amad, Mitch Parker, Tommy Gilbert and Hamish Morris showed they will have a real impact at this and perhaps at a higher level.
