Both WOX teams suffered heavy defeats at Righetti as St Kevin's demonstrated the standards of the competition's pace-setters.

WOX 1

Audrey Rhodes led the way for Gowans Girls but St Kevin's were far more effective in the front half in a 46 point win. There was no questioning the endeavour of the Red 'n' Blacks, but the home team, far more experienced at this level, wee just too strong. This Saturday, the WOX meet St Mary's Salesian at Greythorn, and will be looking for a return to the winners' list.

A tough afternoon at the park for Paul Newton's team, as the WOX failed to score against a powerful St Kevin's unit. Short on numbers, but not effort, the Red 'n' Blacks struggled throughout but never gave up. Eliza Christie was best in a promising return to form. Next Saturday's contest with SMS should provide a better result.
