The Old Xaverians Football Club is delighted to announce our Community Partnership with Beyond Blue, Australia’s leading mental health and wellbeing support organisation.
The club’s Wellbeing Coordinator, Paul Lefebvre summarised the club’s approach to its Wellbeing program.
“Our Wellbeing game plan is to create a safe and inclusive environment that enables Players, Coaches and Support Staff to optimise their contribution to others and to achieve their personal goals, both on and off the field,” Lefebvre said.
“We have established a range of Health and Wellbeing resources that includes a Careers Support platform access career advice, resume writing, and interview preparation. Additionally, the club will post job opportunities when our club network makes them available.”
“Our partnership with Beyond Blue reinforces the commitment of the OXFC to reduce the stigma associated with mental health illness by providing players, coaches, members and club partners access to a broad range of resources and information, curated by Beyond Blue, Club President, Matt Cosgrave said.
“We are a large club with a strong sense of community that reaches across many individuals, club partners and the broader Xavier community. We are adopting an innovative approach to improve access to mental health resources and trust that it will support anyone in our club community that might need assistance or information.”
