TOORAK PARK TREBLE
Another big day at home
Old Xavs' favourite Team Manager was last night recognised by the VAFA for his service to Amateur Football.
Terry "Lemon" Landrigan was honoured with a Certificate of Merit for his 28-year-long contribution to our club (and briefly, to Old Melburnians).
It is a fitting award for the sprightly worker, who has taken great satisfaction over a long period at the the success of the Red 'n' Blacks.
Apart from siring six-time senior premiership player David and thirteen-time Crocs premiership player Tony, he has given plenty to our club over the years. His daughter Andrea is married to former Xavs' president Simon Hunt (also a VAFA CoM awardee), and when Terry isn't arranging guernseys, preparing team lists and hanging framed awards in his Toorak Park office, he performs regular running repairs on the Hunt Helipad.
"Those Anderson boys keep me busy - they still can't land the whirly-bird properly," Terry told oldxavs.com.au.
Terry is looking forward to another season. "Everyone works so hard for success. It doesn't always come immediately, but I'm proud of the attitude of our players, who never quit. They're good boys and I love working with them."
Congratulations Terry. You are a great man!
