The VAFA has named an initial 45 strong training squad for the Big V clash with AFL Victoria Country to be played 8 July at Frankston.

Two Xaverians, Murphy Ambrose and Denis Symeopoulos, are in that squad.

Ambrose previously represented the Big V under coach Simon Lethlean, while Symeopoulos was in last year's senior squad under coach Stu Powell, but missed because of injury.

Congratulations to both and long may their good form continue.
