R2: THIRDS REPORT

Strange day for the three Thirds teams.

CROCS: LYON SMASHES ASHES

Josh Lyon kicked five as the Green Hose marched to an easy win over Monash Blues at Stradbroke Park. Jesse Lucchesi added three in a BOG performance.

Goal Kickers: J. Lyon 5, J. Lucchesi 3, H. Aikman 3, M. Perrett 3, H. Reed 2, P. Darrer 2, C. Kim, T. O''Brien, T. Lyon
Best Players: J. Lucchesi, L. O''Sullivan, J. Lyon, H. Reed, M. Perrett, H. Aikman

U23s DOWN TO OGGERS

Wayward kicking didn't help as the Red 'n' Blacks dropped their first-ever game.

Old Geelong won the contest at Stradbroke Park in the first three terms, during which the Xavs could only manage one major. Four goals in the last was a better return for the home team, but the Hoops added three themselves to stash the points.

After 21 games without a loss, and a talented team on the park, no pundit would have predicted this. Still, nothing can be taken for granted and the 23s will likely rebound strongly after this disappointment.

Goal Kickers: W. Honan 2, E. Ralph, C. Whitehead, L. Agnoletto
Best Players: M. Lowe, E. Ralph, O. Smart, M. Speakman, W. Honan

MENAGES TAKE A FORFEIT
