Red 'n' Blacks win weekend at Bernies

The Ménages received a forfeit, but all other Village teams won their contests.

Old Xaverians had a huge win over sixth-placed St Kevin's. Charlie Christopher and Rory Calvert kicked six apiece as the Red 'n' Blacks went berserk after half-time, scoring thirteen goals to two.
OUTLOOK: With three to play, the Thirds meet fourth-placed Blues and the two bottom teams. In the top two now and should meet the Crocs in the second-semi.

Fitzroy was no match for the powerful Red 'n' Blacks, particularly after quarter time when the X-Men added 18.9 to 3.4. The mercurial Frankie O'Callaghan booted six in the triumph and Tom Davine nailed four.
OUTLOOK: Top of the ladder, clear by a game and big percentage, but play second and third-placed teams in the next fortnight

With last week's game abandoned, the Ménages were looking forward to running themselves back into form. Alas, the player-poor Panthers pulled the pin. Finals are still a good shot, but the 'Nages must run the table.
OUTLOOK: Three games remain, and maybe their U23 stablemates can help them.

Another great effort from the T-Birds, who pulled away after half-time. Ed Nelson booted three and Chis Christomos was best afield.
OUTLOOK: Sitting second. Three to play. Final round v Fitzroy will likely decide the double chance.
