The seniors turned in a well rounded, 4 quarter display to settle the top 4 for the season once and for all. All that remains now is for the 4 to work out amongst themselves who will finish top 2.

Shaw got the seniors going with some dominance in the ruck early. Mercuri and Colbert crumbed well to the big fella, whilst Rush converted well early and at the first break the score was 3 goals to zip.

Noonan was commanding down back, as was Biddlecombe, whilst Wynne ran riot on the wing. The second quarter was a tough battle and the tackle count was pleasingly high, but at the main break the Xavs were in control. The back 6 were dominant, the midfield strong and the flexible forward line was operating well, without perhaps being as damaging on the scoreboard as the amount of supply would have perhaps suggested.

The second half saw more of the same, with Prowse finding the ball on the other wing, Douglas returning to some stellar senior form in the midfield, and Gidley proving lively across half forward.

In the end, it was a pleasing 4 quarter, even display from the lads who now face the in form uni blues at headquarters in what should be one of the clashes of the season.

We hope to see all of our supporters there....
