Andy Biddlecombe Best & Fairest 2010
Andy Biddlecombe returned to the Club in 2010 after 7 years away and quickly reminded us all how good a player he was. His role as vice captain was instrumental in leading the best back line in the competition throughout the home and away season – a fact that become even more obvious as our backline strangled 3 further opponents during the finals.
2010 Presentation Night Award Winners
Listed below is a complete list of all club and team award winners.
2010 Senior Premiers
The Old Xaverians yesterday won their 12th Premier/A Section Premiership. Once again the boys in the Red & Black came through with the goods in the biggest game of the year, and have now won 11 of the last 16 flags.
Premierships For Some Past Players
The Premiership news just keeps getting better and better. While our Seniors and Thirds won Premierships over the weekend, so too did 3 past players of the club.
Mike Beardsley, living in Sydney and playing for the East Coast Eagles in the NSW AFL Competition played in the side that beat Sydney Uni in the Grand Final on the weekend.

Not To Be For Under 19's
Our Under 19's fought hard all day in the cold and sometimes wet conditions, but De La Salle proved to be too strong. It was always going to be a tough proposition playing an underfeated side in the Grand Final, however Tom, Pat and the players were confident going into the game.
De La started with the wind and the Xavs did a good job for much of the quarter preventing them from using the advantage, and their inaccuracy infront of goal kept us in the game.
The 2nd quarter was better for the Xavs however De La managed to kick 4 goals into a slight breeze. The gap at the major break was 27 point and there was a lot of work to do to get back into the game.Grand Final Night Celebrations - Sunday September 19th

Seniors Into Grand Final!
The Old Xaverians once again find themselves playing off for the ultimate prize!
In what can only be described as a gutsy performance, the boys managed to maintain their 3 point 3 quarter time lead, even though De La Salle were kicking with a healthy Elsternwick breeze.
Under19's Into Grand Final
Our under 19 Premier side battled hard all day and after 3 close quarters broke away from Old Scotch and won their Preliminary Final by 33 points.
Brendan Goss kicked our 2 goals in the first quarter and one of our 2 goals in the second. The Scotch ruckmen who won the competition best and fairest was doing well in the middle and around the ground, however our midfielders battled hard and kept up the pressure on the opposition. The backs were holding strong with Woods and Pintal leading the way. Nidam and Harangozo were in and under and well supported by Stean, and the bigger bodies in Moffitt and Denton.
Josh Bosnar - League Best and Fairest
Congratulations to Josh Bosnar who has been announced as the Under 19 South (2) League Best and Fairest Winner for season 2010.
Thirds Into Grand Final
At any other time of the year you would have to question why you would travel to a rain soaked Elsternwick Park, be there by 8.30am on a cold Sunday morning, with gale force winds and heavy rain forecast to play a game of footy. But it’s finals time and you’ve just gotta love it!
Auskick 2010
Another season of Auskick at Toorak Park has come to an end. The Old Xavs have run the Auskick program for the Stonnington City council since 1996, and is a fantastic example of the clubs commitment to the community. Kids from the local primary schools, and their parents enjoy a 16 week season of Saturday morning activities, which concludes with a BBQ where certificates are presented to the kids.

He was a member of the Australian Rowing team from 2003-2006, winning bronze at the 2004 World Championships.
